Dr. Ben Carson

ben-carson.jpgDr. Ben Carson is a world famous neurosurgeon who became the director of pediatric neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital when he was just 33 years old. Carson married Candy Rustin--whom he met at Yale--in 1975. Both are devout evangelical Christians and members of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. They have three sons, Murray, Benjamin Jr., and Rhoeyce. He and their sons comprise the Carson Four, an accomplished string quartet. Early in his career, Carson and his wife developed the idea for the Carson Scholars Fund, to provide scholarships for promising young people who lack the money for school. The group recognizes young people of all backgrounds for exceptional academic and humanitarian accomplishments.
